Hope For the New Year

We are now currently sitting at the beginning of a new year. Each and every day it seems as though time is passing by quicker and quicker. So what are you doing to maximize your time? Another year has come and gone so we have to understand fully that time waits for no one. Jesus Christ said "It is finished", at the moment of his death on the cross. So with that being said, we know that God knows everything there is to know about our future. God is the author and finisher of our faith just as Hebrews 12:2 states, " looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

The faith and hope for our lives that we develop can only come from Christ. You can reach new levels and heights to your faith by being intentional and diligent about the way you seek the Lord. The scripture below talks about how we are all going to inevitability fall into some sort of trials and hardships on our journeys in life. Until God tests your faith with trials then it can not be trusted to the point of Him blessing you with bigger things because you won't know how to handle them.

James 1:2-4
"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

2 Timothy 2:22
"Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts."

Any lifestyle that doesn't promote righteous living or morality has a few main things that it produces and that is to diminish your overall faith and separate you from God's presence. When you do things outside of the will of God it ultimately allows distractions and mental contamination to get to you which in return reduces your faith levels. As you go forth this year understand that remaining inside of God's will has everything that you need to living a purposeful life. God created all things and without Him nothing was made, so meditate on and keep this in mind as the enemy tries to get you confused and into a doubtful mindset.

Romans 16:17-18
"And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people."
